Care

Welcome to the Ethos family! We’re so excited you’ve added one of our pieces to your collection and hope you love it as much as we do! Your piece is delicate and needs to be cared for – please see below a list of instructions and recommendations for keeping your jewelry in perfect condition.

  • Clean Regularly: in between professional cleans you can soak your piece in warm soapy water or Windex (recommended for diamonds) for a few minutes, then brush lightly with a very soft toothbrush, rinse with water and pat dry.

  • Store with Care: Keep your jewelry in a fabric-lined case or a soft pouch, separate from other pieces to avoid scratches.

  • Avoid Chemicals: Exposure to chemicals can tarnish your precious pieces. Remove your jewelry before applying perfumes, lotions, or when swimming in chlorinated water.

  • Take Off During Heavy Tasks: To prevent damage, remove your jewelry during tasks that may cause excessive wear, such as exercising or cleaning. For engagement rings, never wear them while working out.

  • Professional Check-Up: We recommend having your jewelry professionally cleaned and serviced at least once a year to keep your pieces in perfect condition. This is particularly important for pieces with prongs or clasps such as tennis bracelets and necklaces which can loosen with everyday wear. If you feel this happening please immediately take off the piece and have the clasp tightened.

We prioritize your jewelry as much as you do and with proper care, it can last for generations. Please don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any questions — ethoslabassistant@proton.me
